Oprah says... The Bible says...
  1. There are many ways or paths to heaven.
  2. She says there are millions of ways to what we may call God or light or whatever.
  3. God is a feeling.

The Bottom Line:

The necessary requirement of accepting the teachings of Oprah and her friends is that one must deny that Jesus is the Son of God.

Jesus is either who he claimed to be, or he is a liar. It means that one must believe that Jesus is a liar because of his teachings.

Anyone who claims to be a Christian cannot accept the teachings of Oprah Winfrey. Her teachings are completely foreign to the New Testament.

Jesus said he was the only way to God.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

Paul reminds us that Jesus is the only mediator between man and God.

1 Timothy 2:5
For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Jesus clearly stated that the way that leads to life eternal is narrow.

Matthew 7:13-14
Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. 14For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.

We must not accept just anything that anyone teaches as the truth, but we must cling to the teaching of Christ, only.

2 John 1:9-11
Everyone who goes on ahead and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God. Whoever abides in the teaching has both the Father and the Son. 10If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house or give him any greeting, 11for whoever greets him takes part in his wicked works.

Jesus claimed to have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. His disciples were to teach everything that he had taught them.

Matthew 28:18-20
And Jesus came and said to them,  "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."

Peter taught those who sought salvation that it was only found in the name of Jesus, by his authority.

Acts 4:10-12
let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by him this man is standing before you well. 11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone. 12And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.

Paul warned against allowing oneself to be deceived "with empty words." He does not permit us to "become partners with them."

Ephesians 5:6-17
Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of these things the wrath of God comes upon the sons of disobedience. 7Therefore do not become partners with them; 8for at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true), 10and try to discern what is pleasing to the Lord. 11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. 12For it is shameful even to speak of the things that they do in secret. 13But when anything is exposed by the light, it becomes visible, 14for anything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,

"Awake, O sleeper,
and arise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you."

15 Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.
